Hmmmm, I may have lumped an ex-work colleague years ago over a professional disagreement.  However, we remained friends :)

Women are usually very good with people. Mostly because they ALL know and understand when another person is having a bad week. Women know this by default obviously.

Men often don't know or understand this... For obvious reasons.

I prescribe..... a lesson in ignoring mood swings.

Where shall I send my invoice? :)

One of my mature female students once said to me.....
"Ron, even WOMEN don't understand women, so what chance do YOU stand?"
A good guiding principal, I feel!

Similar here. An Ex once roared at me, in a fit of rage, "I don't know what I want, how the fu@k are YOU supposed to know" and she meant it. ;D

And I bet we all know this one:-
There is obviously something wrong, because you are getting the silent/cold treatment.
You ask "What's wrong?"
She answers, huffily "Nothing".
That translates as "Well, if you don't know, you should and I'm not going to tell you!"
This scenario CAN continue for days.....

Ron.

P.S. Can anyone explain it?   ???

I have to say, been married for well over 30 yrs (same woman!), arguements etc very very rare, and when they do I refuse to get into the long silence thing, I walk through it as if nothing had happened. Oh, a very big G&T helps  :y

Oops! I've always thought "nothing" means "nothing. It's a lovely day. Why don't you clear off for a blat in the Westfield for the rest of the day." Silly me. :-[

My ex-MIL and her husband, would go through the big not talking routine for about 3 weeks for the slightest thing. On their 25 wedding anniversary, we reckoned in the 25 years that they had been talking for less 6 months. ;D ;D ;D ;D
