Title: Mantles for gas lamps
Post by: Taxi_Driver on 22 June 2014, 16:39:23
Last year the mantle in my SunnGas lamp fell apart.

Not sure what size i needed, i bought a medium size pack of 3 campinggaz ones.

Having fitted one of them and used it.....im convinced the light output is less than it used to be.

Question is, will a bigger mantle, ie the large size from campinggaz increase the light output?

Everyone on the flea of bay seem to be selling 'universal fit' ones, without mentioning the size? So i'm guessing they are probably medium size too  :-\

TIA

Yes, bigger mantle equals larger surface area which equals more light.
