Why do people call the Omega's a MIG?
How is MIG linked to the Omega?

Why do people call the Omega's a MIG?
I don't....
In my view it's a chav-ish shortened version of it's proper name. :)

It's probably a big willy syndrome thing and we like to think that our cars are a jet fighter! ;D

When we were children growing up in Yorkshire, MIG in broad Yorkshire meant manure or the grey sludge on the ground where toilets issued before septic tanks and mains sewage. I doubt that is the reason people call their Omega Mig!

I think it comes from O-MIG-A, so the slang Miggy or Mig. It is also a term of endearment for the car, normally reserved for when the crank-sensor doesn't when in the outside of lane of the M25, refitting the B-bolt, changing the HBV, exchanging a pre-face lift V6 coil pack, repairing the V6 oil cooler and flushing the system, replacing a V6 exhaust manifold manifold gasket, refitting the o-ring and bolts for the cooling transfer pipe or a rear wheel bearing. ::) ::) ::) ::)
These are all easy jobs that the owner / mechanic on here love, relish and look forward to on their Miggy. :o :o :o :o ;D ;D ;D ;D
Well that's what Lord Opti's friend STEMO the Marquis de Sade told me anyway. ::) ::) ::) ::)
