makes me laugh when landrover forums arrange to meet by the bogs at 1 pm.

It's much easier to bounce off each other relatively anonymously on tinternet... At the meets I try and get stuck into doing things, as, for me at least, I find it a good icebreaker without being overwhelmed by the whole 'meeting new people' aspect.
First meet I attended was Guffers last cambelt meet, having only 'met' a handful of people on here. Drinking the bar dry on the Saturday night really helped the nerves too ;D
That's why the bigger meets such as Newent are so good, as it gives people a chance to unwind over a bevvy or ten, the trouble with the day meets being that most everybody drives to them :-\
It is always good to put names to faces though :y

Not me. I'm really really interesting and sociable . . . .
. . . . well sort of, I think, but only if I think we'de get on, and have the same star sign, and of course of a similar same socio-economic group. . . . maybe ;) Oh, I'm also changing my user name to Turbo Todger to reflect my true personality ::)
