Has anyone got a fix for a drivers door outside handle stopped working.

Admittedly it's been one of those niggly things I've been meaning to look at - for ages it didn't open until right at the end of the movement of the handle and I knew it was on its way out. Tonight it's stopped working all together.

 It's a 52 plated saloon.

Is it a reasonably quick fix with something that needs clipping back on, or is it more likely to be something broken?

 Thanks in advance.

I should add, it opens fine from inside, so happy the lock itself is fine, it something to do with the exterior handle connection/mechanism.

Remove door card. Attached to the handle is an actuating rod that sits in the "knuckle" arrowed red. Make sure it`s in secure

That's brilliant, thank you. WD40 squirted through from outside seems to have sorted it for now back to its previous working right at the end of its travel.
I didn't have time to mess around taking the door card off tonight, but will have to take the plunge in the weekend.

the rod on handle is probably bent-causing it to only work at last bit :y
