Title: Castrol Classic Oils now available at Opie Oils
Post by: oilman on 25 June 2014, 10:26:41
We know that many of our club members own modern vehicles that wouldn't be considered as a classic, however we also know there are a lot of forum members that own a classic car that has been restored or is an ongoing project. If this is you then you will be interested to know that Opie Oils (http://www.opieoils.co.uk) has extended its range of Classic Oils (http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-1248-car-classic-oil-range.aspx) and now stocks Castrol Classics Oils (http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-2150-castrol-classic-oils.aspx) including Engine Oils (http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-2164-castrol-classic-engine-oils.aspx), Gear Oils (http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-2165-castrol-classic-gear-oils.aspx), Ancillaries (http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-2167-castrol-classic-ancillaries.aspx) as well a range of Clothing, Collectibles and Regalia (http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-2166-castrol-classic-clothing-collectibles-and-regalia.aspx).

I'm glad you are here talking about oils, I have a question for you: what is the mystique about Castrol "R"? This morning I was driving behind a scooter emitting the unmistakeable smell of "R" and the rider obviously fancied himself as a poor-man's cafe racer!

I used to love the smell back in the days when I went to motorbike scrambles, with the engines all using "R" and screaming at full chat and throwing up mud, water and all sorts....ah, memories.
So it has been discontinued? Shame.
I wonder where that scooter rider got his from, as no other oil smells like it?
