if that had been a Yorkshire pilot he could of landed it on some wickets ;)

funny thing about this is, that stool is not a stool but a nose rig built to do the job, and how the most powerful air force in the world is still using a jet that the british designed and built, then scrapped 5 years ago saying it was too old to be a viable fighter.
Well then Camaron, i think the term should be EPIC FAIL. ::)
Still....... we still dont have a carrier to put them or anything on at the moment. :-[

We do; HMS Illustrious. Chiefly now a helicopter carrier, but I feel sure could be used to land a Harrier or two. Fuelling and servicing could perhaps be a problem (???) but I am sure in an emergency it could be done.
Still we will have at least one, if not two, super carriers in the not too distant future, if that is now a militarily sensible option and they haven't become as vulnerable as the battleship.

Glad to see the Americans are still using the amazing and very successful Harrier :y :y it was a huge mistake that the British government decided to get rid of a plane that still has huge benefits in modern warfare. ::)

Used in conjunction with the type 45 which is as good as you can get ;)

We could only afford to keep either the Tornado Gr4's or the Harriers :(
Tornado could carry the Stormshadow missile and Brimstone.
Typhoon wasn't cleared to carry either and we couldn't afford to push through the package that would let them.
The Harrier could only carry Brimstone so we sold the Harriers to the yanks as spares >:(
Sadly, the MOD is (and has been since the wall came down) run by accountants >:(
