You don't realise how dangerous it can be being a cabbie. You just don't know who you are going to pick up and what situations you get into :(

About the only advantage of picking some up from the rank imho...

The only times I have had significant issues, the jobs has been prebooked, and all the office can say is, "Well they sounded fine on the phone..." ::)

At least on the rank, you can lock the door and send them back down the queue, and normally if the front car won't take someone, noone else behind will either ;D

One thing people don't realise, as this girl has found to her cost, the person making the booking is ultimately responsible for it, including any unpaid fares, damage or soilage charges and associated costs...

Summat to consider when you book a car for that really obnoxious arse who asks you to get them a cab :y
