Post by: omegod on 28 June 2014, 15:32:37
Been asked for a cruise ecu off my facelift breaker, do they have one as it's the first I've heard if they do ?

Non DBW have there own stand alone Unit complete with throttle cable, DBW uses info from the Main ECU (if configured to work).

"omegod", I'm glad you came up; I don't know how to get back to historic posts, in particular the one in which you offered a battery positive connector plus cable.
The problem was indeed the cable - it was blackened at the outer strands in the terminal casting. Temporarily I have used a fat cable with a lug on it from the terminal to a fresh part of the starter cable, and it works, but if you could give me a price, posted, for that connector of yours with say a foot of cable I'd be grateful.
Thanks.

Ron.

Only fitted to 2.0/2.5/3.0 petrols with cruise.

All others, its a software setting in the engine ECU

Turns out he was after the module from a non DBW for his Bentley! Same unit on them and the Rolls apparently, if anyone has one I'll pass details on to him
