Worth investing in the Halfords 150 set when it's on offer, all in one set for Omega really. Covers 90% of jobs  :y

How much is the set when on offer tunnie ?

Ive got a 6 piece set that fits onto a socket but the star bits just dont seem to quite fit the heads on any of the Omega bolt heads correctly  :(

At the very least, they do a rail of torx sockets in 3/8, ideal for most jobs :y

Nearly allows half price now for a one'r, if you sign up for Halfords email Offer alerts, sometimes comes out at £89 online, or a few times a month they send an 12pm to 2pm today only 10% off everything online, but you need to on the ball for that one as they normally email about 10 mins before it happens.  ;)

Other way is to buy the Morrisons / Halfords £100 voucher and then get fair wack off your next fuel fill up at Morri's.  ;)

Wait till you go to billing, the tool man should be there, and a torx rail be about £8.00 :y

Rather than the 150pc set, if you can tolerate the weight, I'd recommend the 200pc set. More complete, pretty much answers all my complaints with the later 150pc and 170pc sets. Major downside is weight. Only other gripe is the spanners aren't combo spanners, but ratchet ones.

Mine was £120 trade, and I think worth every single penny.

Are Torx the same as Star bit sets ? Do they all do the same job  :-\

Buy branded, as cheap shite will round off the edges, then you're screwed.

The Halfords Advanced ones are very good. Clarke Pro are pretty good, and slightly better value.

Taking that star head bolt out of the brake drum was a pain a few weeks back , incorrect size meant it just rounded off the star on the bolt  >:( Simple job but without the correct star bit its fist shaking time and mucho swearing  ::)
