Title: car insurance
Post by: flyer 0712 on 02 July 2014, 23:57:04
When i sold my omega sept 2013 i bought an astra 1800cc elegance automatic....phone churchill put my 9years plus n.c.b.against it and all was honky dorey,,,,kept looking for another omega and in may found another one which i purchased,,,,left it standing while i fixed a few bits and then decided to insure that as well....looked at churchill on the net and they quoted just under £300 which i thought was great as i had no..n.c.b.to be had on the omega....Just to make sure i phone churchill  to confirm this and the lady said yes we can..mirror,,,,the insurance with that of the astra so you can have the n.c.b. from that to share with the omega...so because it was cheaper on the net she told me to do it that way so i did, paid for it by my debit card and that was that.....but oh no,today i had a letter from them asking me for proof of my n.c.b.on the omega...So phoned them and they said they did not do..mirror insurance and i had to pay another £291 on my omega as i did not have any n.c,b...I explained my tale of woe to a lady by the name of alice who said they can track back taped calls and would phone me back...One hour later true to her word she phoned me back...she had found the recording and said that i was ill advised and the service lady was wrong to have told me that they do mirror insurance and in my case they were very sorry and waived the £291..for this year,,,there will not be a next year as the astra is going because i like my omega far far better,so no extra cash for churchill from me for two cars next year.makes you wonder who you can trust these days when you put yourself out to find out the  ins and outs of insurance  >:(

Insurance companies were supposed to be under investigation but it seems they have been overlooked  ::) Every year its a farce and a complete minefield trying to get the best deal and save a few bob from the blood suckers ! Been paying the same premium for over 7 years now and its never gone down no matter who i ring to get a deal  :(

Thank goodness for taped conversations because that is what saved my bacon..without those  it would have been my word against theirs.....And when Alice said it was another £291..my little ticker missed a few beats,,,But alls well that ends well  :y ;D
