Title: Jetex
Post by: kevinp58 on 06 July 2014, 16:39:08
Just wanted to say I received my new S/S exhaust from Jetex on Wednesday and thought I would share  :y it is a very well made exhaust and fitted perfectly an match to the genuine, ie: 2 pipes with silencers right through to back box albeit 65mm and 2 80mm exits from back box. It sounds good  8) not noisy and very quiet when ticking over just a nice deep throaty sound when burying the pedal to the carpet.  ;)

Yes its a shame the bigger bore doesn't fit the Irmscher boxes, or I'd have the mid sections fitted.

Extra cost though I thought? It's already quite expensive iirc...?

Pi spoke to them on the phone come to think of it. They said it wouldn't work. :-\

But given the cost of an Ets or Eternal system.....

I've had mine a fair few years now, it fitted really well and I've had no issues with it.  :y Mine was bought as a replacement for the original system, as I intended to keep the car. As I've said before, it is not a noisy pipe.  :y

I have one also, can't fault the quality, drones slightly on an auto when in top gear but apart from that sounds fantastic - a mate of mine said it 'sounds well above its station' - he has no respect for Omegas!!

Having had them on previous cars, I'd take a lot of persuading to buy Jetex myself. Hope you have more luck :)

My MV6 has an exhaust from ATS. It came with a 3 year guarantee.

Fitted in March 2010 (roughly a year before I purchased the car) it cost the previous owner £319.68.... :o :o :o

So its £519 AND you have to fit it yourself?

Don't see the point as for a lot less you could have a custom stainless steel supplied and fitted!

My old 3.2 V6 Signum cat back with twin rear boxes, not a duplex system, in full stainless with tail pipe of my choice was less than £400 fully fitted! The Jettex version (with the twin round twin pipes) on the Demon Tweaks website is £635 +delivery +me fitting it!

Doesn't make sense buying off the shelf at that price, but each to their own i guess
