Title: Central locking help please!
Post by: smalt36 on 08 July 2014, 16:13:25
Hi folks, as I finally got the miga through mot its time to sort the other niggly things out. 1st is the central locking, this was fine until one day it stopped working, I had to really force the drivers door lock with the key to get it to open but once open it works as a noirmal door would with a key. None of the other doors open when i lock/unlock the drivers door but the alarm arms/disarms with the remote so that part of it is working. Just found fuse no.20 was blown, have replaced it but still no joy, also tried re-syncing the fob but again no joy. Should I start with drivers door motor or central locking ecu??

Sorry its long winded but tried to give as much info as poss!

I believe the most common failure is of a microswitch inside the door motor, there's a guide on repairing it:

And a guide on replacing the motor:

Just as well to change the drivers door c/l motor, Both front door motors are the same so should be easy enough to get hold of. :y
