Doing a search suggests vasts amount of the rear has to come off, including the parcel shelf.
Can it not just be ripped out with a hammer, if you have no intention of re-fitting it? ::)
-
Poxy design, takes up a great chunk of boot volume for no good reason >:(
The metal parcel shelf is quite flimsy but provides essential bracing to the body shell. If you try to smash up the Bose shelf you will distort the parcel shelf.
If you want to remove the Bose loom or add new cables from front to rear you will end up removing the rear seat base and squabs anyway so better to man up and start by removing the grab handles and top seat belt mounts then work your way downwards. :y

Won't be if you sell it ::)

I thought it screwed in from underneath. :-\ shows how good my memory is ;D

But, the shelf will squeeze past the c pilar covers if your happy to force it. Thing to worry about is damaging the speaker grills with the studs sticking out underneath.

No studs (or bolts from underneath) if no blind :)
Tunnie, its easy, don't be lazy. The hardest bit is those headrestraint guides, gadget hands needed. Assume you're mounting amp by first aid cubby, in which case the shelf has to come out anyway to reroute the loom. Speaker wires need extending. I'd recommend fabricating a bracket to mount amp - 4 holes drilled in a PFL CDC3 cage worked for me.

CDC2 ;)
Those cages are getting quite rare now. Managed to obtain one from Daz for mine.
Hardest bit I found (With the shelf with a blind attached) is relocating it back without stabbing the speakers with the studs on the bottom of the blind.

As VXL V6 says, CDC2 not CDC3, my bad.
Tunnie won't have the stud problem ripping the cones, as he doesn't have a blind (I think)
-
No blind, I could see the head guides when inspecting it the other day.
For mounting the Amp, do have a spare NCDC2013/5 cage that could be butchered, that suitable?
-
Not really. Wrong size, shape and too weak.
-
Temporarily, you can just pop the amp in the first aid box holder on the door flap. :y
