SWMBO was watching the soaps while I did some paper work. All contained scenes is single sex couples kissing ETC well before the watershed. Personally I don't wish to see this in my lounge, and then on the news it's on about single sex couples ballroom dancing. :(
Is it just me? What do you lot think? In my day a queer got a good kicking, what happens behind closed doors between consenting adults is fine. What are we coming to ???

This has the potential to open a right old can of worms.
If everyone (or even a majority) was gay (male or female) then humanity would cease to exist due to lack of procreation.
On the one hand, I am completely certain that many are born being naturally "gay". The old nature Vs nurture argument. Is one born gay, or on the other hand, does one become gay due to external influences.
I have no issue whatsover with acceptance of being gay due to the first, I have a big issue with active promotion of being gay which encourages the second
The problem with media and TV companies etc is that they feel that they have to try and be controversial and appeal to everyone, and be "inclusive" etc. And they overdo it. PLUS of course Eastenders and Corrie are always after the shock factor, so it's all about ratings.
I was born a few days apart from another male baby. This male baby lived near me, went to the same school as me. He was always different in some way. In my teens I bumped into him walking into town, Chatted, and arrived at the local hangout, where I met my mates. They asked why I was with the poofter etc. They explained. I was shocked, I had no idea, and it didn't matter, he was still a lifelong mate. Thus my belief in nature. But I think that nurture also happens.

Of course it's a can of worms that's why I started the topic. I have many friends who are gay and good friends, what they don't do is push it down our throats ( DON'T) ;D ;D. It just seems to me that the media push it too far, trying to project it as normal. It isn't and I don't want it in my lounge thank you. :(
Am I out of step or should we accept it. ???

These days it starts with literature for 5 years olds. :o :o :o I'm a live and let live person, but I'm very against positive discrimination for vocal minorities that have an axe to grind. :(
The British Film Institute who hand out the lottery funding for films have just announced that to get funding a film must have an approved quota of two out of three for gays, ethnics and working class or it won't get funded. :(
That's one of the many things I like about Ukraine, men are expected to act like men and women as women and this doesn't stop equality of opportunity with women filling many more engineering / science and management roles than in the UK, but their society is much more relaxed and cohesive (except for Kremlin backed Russian terrorists in the East >:( ) than the UK, where men are expected to show their pink side, while the laddettes are getting legless on a Friday and Saturday night. :(
One of the major reasons I've stopped watching television is because of the positive discrimination given to certain minorities. I personally find much of this left-wing social engineering propaganda uncomfortable viewing for what should be relaxation time.
I came to the conclusion some time ago that if you are an employed, white, middle aged, heterosexual male, then the only interest the UK government has in you and your only right; is how much tax they can extract to spend on their pet projects. :(

its the same as you have to accept suspected terrorist bombers living next door to you getting funded by the govt to buy materials to make bombs to blow up buses,you now have to accept that gay is cool and modern and its on your doorstep and forced into your living rooms.in years gone by I would of been right on your bandwagon but in my older age I have become more liberal and can accept its there but I don't want to see it and yes my toes curl up when theres close scenes going on but like much in life there is break all you can do about so why worry bout it when theres better things to do :y
