Hello
Today I followed the guide on how to change the antifreeze myself and it was a success! The old one was filthy and required a lot of flushing out and hadn't been changed in many years. What an achievement, I could be a mechanic now, got a chuffed feeling.
One more thing, you know on the maintenance guide, it states that you let the old antifreeze run free but this is very very wrong, if I did this today then many cats could have died. ANTIFREEZE KILLS, DO NOT LET IT RUN FREE AND MAKE SURE YOU USE A BOWL TO CATCH IT.

You use the same stuff as me. I find it fine. :y
.......except I use the concentrated rather than the ready mixed stuff. :y
-
Where is that available from, and how much if you don't mind me asking.
-
Looks like eurocarparts stock.
Guide is mine, I just washed drive afterwards. :)
-
I use the concentrate triple qx too. Purchased from euro parts online :y

Valid point re the guide, only needs somne to be prosecuted for it, and for them to use the guide as a defence :-\
It is illegal to deliberately allow coolant to flow into open drains or soakaways.
You can, however, flush it down the toilet as sewage is treated whereas drainwater isn't :y
I use a washing up bowl, depressurise the system by opening the expansion cap. Then drain down by partly opening the drain plug.
Any spillage can be rinsed away with gallons of water :y
-
I let it piss all over the drive and then instruct my butler to hose it away. :)
-
Brought from eurocarparts oldham 2 ready mixed 5 litre bottles for a grand total of £15
It actually works out cheaper than 1 5 litre concentrate bottle which costs 2 pounds more which left the man there stumped. Wierd.
Going tp start on the mid conversion ane cruise retrofit tomorrow :y

Can you guarantee that?

Your soo common, I get my Chauffeur to do the job, then the Butler hoses the Drive in and out down.

Using the discount codes I believe that I paid something like £11 for 5 litres of the concentrated stuff.
It's just about possible to get 5 litres of coolant back in after draining the system so it couldn't have been an easy task to get almost 10 litres of ready mixed in for a 50/50 mix.
PS. just noticed that you own a 4 pot.

Need to drop the water pump off a V6 to drain it fully imho.
