Title: Still smoking

Hi all I've just replaced cam gaskets on v6 and have been really care full and checked are ok but the dam thing is still smoking I can get my finger down the side of the banks and are still oily from before. My question is there anything I can do to clean it off or will it just burn off in due course ??

Wipe off what you can see/reach, the rest should burn off in a week or so... Still oily after a fortnight then you still have a leak :y

Theoretically you could try Gunking it, but I've never done so myself.

Check the O ring on the filler neck also  :y
