Women are fickle, Mr Emd. It was an expensive 'five minute wonder' ..... :(

If I remember rightly, Mrs Opti wanted a new kitchen and you went and bought yourself her a sports car instead!  ::)  ;D

The number of cars I've bought that woman over the years.... :-\

Is she grateful?.......is she f**k. :-\

I'm sure her sister would show far more appreciation if I bought her a new car..... ;) :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

These cars wouldn't be guilt purchases after being caught trying to chat up your sister in law would they?  ???  ::)  ;D

Yours was undoubtedly in better nick, Opti ;) But then mine came with a rock bottom price..

I still need to wash it so it looks half presentable, but at present it looks like this:

;D True! Although not at the moment.. it's in desperate need of a rebuild.

The picture doesn't do the colour justice - when it's clean and on a sunny day it sparkles like a vampire in Twilight; it's bordering on "metalflake" but I think billed as a pearlescent colour.  Really very nice..

On a dull day and when it's covered in bits of tree, though, it just looks like flat red ;D

Very nice, Aaron. For less than £3000 in total Amy will have a great little motor. I hope that she shows her appreciation for your efforts..... ::) ::) ::) ;)

If memory serves I believe that the doors are made of aluminium. :y

Driving gently I achieved almost 20 MPG once. ::)

My only concern is that 230 BHP will be too much for a 'mere' girlie..... ;) ;D ;D

What it needs is a V6 dropping in it  :D :)

Apparently it would spoil the 50/50 handling balance, Mr Emd.

The rotary engine has a flat torque curve just like a big american V8. The only difference being that a big capacity V8 has loads of torque everywhere whilst the rotary engine has SFA torque everywhere. ;D

;D She's taken my M3 around Oulton Park before now ;)

On the engine conversion front - there's been plenty of LS* into RX7 conversions, I imagine there's been some into the 8 as well.. though I'd love an RX7 with an LS3 in it, I think they're far better looking than the RX8 even :y

That's still in the garage.. looking a lot like it did a year ago  :-X :-[

The RX8 is meant to be replacing the M3 as a fun interim car when the M3 gets traded in to a Nissan dealer in September for something very sensible and boring.. although in a perfect world the sensible boring car would be replacing the Omega!
