Title: LPG Kit arrived
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 20 June 2008, 15:00:15
Well, it's all at home - minus vaporisor.
Time to get cooking on gas ;D

I've decided to mount the filler in the rear quarter panel, rather than mess about fitting towbars.

I'm waiting for a call back from Jeremy... Left a message on his mobile to get a price and stick myself on the waiting list!!! Is his mobile the best way to contact him???

I had a poke around whilst I was out there today and made sure I was happy with running everything! I think I'm going to stick the filler in the side of the bumper, below the petrol filler, because I don't like the idea of cutting a hole in the metalwork!

50l usable tank

Thing is, can't cut the bumper on an estate - not enough room behind it.

Plus, cutting the panel's not as scary as it seems ;D

And on top of that I don't have anything suitable to cut a hole that size in metal... But I do in plastic!!  :y :y :y

I'd have been livid if you'd got a vapouriser too.  >:(

The tank was obscuring most of the back passenger compartment (saloon) with what appeared to be a fill up connector just hanging from the rear of the car! I only caught a glimpse as it was moving... but I nearly ran over a kid in morrisons car park! I didnt half look a state... mind you the whole car looked and sounded like a mess.

Should report the owner for abuse  ::)

Just remember, if it's running lean, and you use WOT, you could easily knacker a valve, or even more likely a piston!
