Title: Battery Cosy/Blanket
Post by: Sir Tigger KC on 03 August 2014, 22:47:56
So Dr Opti has just binned his battery cosy/blanket and I've never had one!  ::)

I guess the idea is that they protect the battery from extreme temperatures especially the cold and make the engine compartment look tidier.  :-\

So who has one and who dosn't?  ???  And should those who havn't got one hotfoot it down the stealers for one?  :-\

Are they on TC Chris?  and if so how much?  ???  ;)  ;D

I doubt ECP sell them.....  :-\  ;D

I think they're also supposed to be a fire retardant, or at least to protect the engine in case your battery decides to go pop.

Yes, I have had them on all my cars - Cavalier Turbos, Omegas, Astra etc, all present correct.

My Saab has a big plastic box wrapped around the battery and proper straps holding the unit in place. The Swedes don't do things by halves!
