Hi All,
Just finished fitting a new stereo head unit into my newly acquired 2003 2.2 petrol omega (auto).
I'm trying to route a battery cable to the boot subwoofer/ amp unit. basically i need this cable to go from the battery to the boot area, but i'm having trouble locating a route from the battery into the car. does anyone have any experience of this? usually i find a rubber grommeted cable i can slide it alongside to get inside the car, but i'm really struggling (I've had this set up in several cars now)
btw the standard speakers in the omega are far superior to the standard stereo i removed! (cdr 2005 vdo)
any useful suggestions are appreciated!
Pete

I would try and feed it from the inside :y once the glovebox/airvent are out, then access is about as good as it gets, just follow the loom from the main connector up to where it goes through the bulkhead... that way you're feeding it the right way through the seal :y

You will need to remove the glovebox for better access (like taxi al is saying)
And passenger side will be easier option, as theres plenty of space behind the kick plates. As for the driver side kick plates thats already stuffed with the cars wiring loom and every other junk they could hide there. (Well it was on my elite which had bose, but 2.2 might differ). Hope that helps Pete.

I fed a feed to my caravan electrics through this grommet under the large electrical loom .... I didn't remove the glove box, just fed a smaller bright coloured wire through to use as a pull through :y
