Just replace it, grease the whole lot up and refit and tighten up (tighter than you might think) the nut and bolt assembly.

The plastic washers look fine when you take them off but regardless a new one fixes the problem.... unless the check strap is ripped from the A post or out of the door of course!

Yeah i'll get a few new ones especially for pennies, Just to confirm is this the part number 90462823... Unless i use a part number they can never find the part i need most of the time..

If its a loud cracking noise, that's the most likely part. About 40p each now IIRC.  You should see movement in it when opening door slowly, esp when it hits the first notch.

Fit dry.

If that doesn't resolve it, it could be the mech in the door.

Don't leave it, as eventually it appears to either knacker the door (fix kit available) or rip the bit off the A post (awkward welding to fix)

Its worth checking the two torx screws are tight in the door end first. Mine where loose. It wasn't the bush at all.

Last time I had this on the TD a few years ago, I swapped the offending driver's door bushes with the pax door. Result, never a problem since! :y

Doors are still fine after bushes  8) :y

But i've just noticed that when the window is shut all the way till it stops (drivers side) the window makes a kinda creaking sound when opening door, But if i open the window a tinny wee bit its silent. Same goes for if it's fully open. Any ideas ?

It's never a dull moment with Omegas  ::) ;D

Try closing the window when you are outside the car and see if the window pushes the top of door frame up, had same
thing on my PFL. Hope this makes sense. ???

No  just open window, spray on, run window up and down a couple of times.

Will give this a try  :y

As said if the window is open just a small amount talking 1mm its silent, Didn't really notice it before with the doors creaking so loud.

It might not be the answer, but won't do any harm as the windows seize up a bit if neglected.
