What's all the fuss.
A certain Douglas Bader dfc. Had two artificial tin legs and flew Hurricanes and spitfires' in the battle of Britain, parachuted out over France, was captured, tried to escape twice, and after the war worked for shell, all over the world by flying.
There are ex troops with amputations that do more, and just get on with life, but that isn't a story.

We have a couple of gliders modified for disabled pilots. :y
An able bodied pilot can lose his grip as well - or get cramp.
...can wear their prostheses to operate the foot-controlled rudder - which changes the direction of the plane..
OFFS! >:( Aviation correspondent is on his lunch break so we ask the sailing correspondent instead. The plebs'll never know the difference. ::)
