Title: Head Light Adjusters - HID
Post by: star_whites on 18 August 2014, 18:27:27
Well where do I start. I noticed some time ago that the passenger side headlight had some serious lens discolouration and appeared to be not levelling properly so I bought a pair of replacement headlights on eBay for next to nothing with the reassurances they were HIDs however when they arrived I noticed they wernt. I didn't bother moaning as I got them so cheap and thought I would just change the lens.

That day finally arrived today as I'm off work and it's raining I thought no better time.

On removing the old lens I noticed that one of the adjusters on the back of the the light is damaged beyond repair so I thought I would take one off the other. On stripping those one was already damaged and the other disintegrated on unscrewing the adjuster, it was like a piece of biscuit crumbling.

Can you buy replacement adjusters or does anyone have one??.....oh it's a 2001 2.6 est.

Its worth noting that the adjusters from PFL headlights, although slightly different to the later ones, will work with FL headlights, and the earlier ones seem to be more durable in my experience.
