Went to a burger place for dinner and ate in the car, an Audi came from the drive through and then sat there wheelspinning.
Sue commented that he was being a prat, I commented that he just proved he couldn't afford a proper Audi with 4wd or that he is showing he has a crappy FWD car

The other night I watched a group of youngsters on a piece of waste ground trying to get a mini (old style) to do donuts ::)
I did think about telling them its the wrong wheel drive....but it was more interesting watching them trying ;D ;D

It's possible (though pointless) to doughnut a fwd in reverse but all you achieve is knackered cv joints. Proper Minis are a passion of mine (Hello MDTM) & i drove them as a young'un. Much more fun to be had by getting 'em on 3 wheels through a sweeping bend or more sensibly on an oval circuit with a harness & roll cage although at that point they're about to flip as i found out racing prod A's.
3 Wheels, a scruffy track or a nudge...roly poly!!!!!!!!!!! ;D

i used to have an old british racing green mini for track days, real fun!!!!
It had roll cages, only 1 seat(driver seat) and everything that wasnt need ended up on ebay or in the skip. ;D
Great fun ;D

Me too, had a good few over the years, personally I prefer them in 10” wheel version. :y :y :y

Indeed Mike. I drove a 1275 (1293) first overbore 275 fast road cam, RC40 exhaust, neg etc but on 10 inch drums. Only 10 inch discs were Cooper S which were like hens teeth even then. Racing a lightly modded 998 did'nt matter but the brake fade in the road 1293 made me brick it on occasions, the solid subframe mounts (original rubber ones throw the car all over) & colway tyres kept me alive....Just!!!
Nostalgia. 8-) :y
