Really not sure on the Monaro.  I think the VXR8 is a much better car as a whole - It's far more practical and has a much more modern feel to it.

It is newer, so costs more, so meh!

Budget £2k for the brake upgrade... No mention in the description of them having been done :-\
Suspension benefits from polybushing too...

Alot of money for a stock CV8... Can get a Vxr Monaro for that, and a CV8 with upgrades for less...

Shop around :y

RobseyMV6 has one of each, lucky, lucky sod 8)

Price is due to mileage mostly...110k, two tyres will set you back the thick end of £600. But it does show that they can handle the mileage, and lpg is a big plus :y

"Around £50,000 in receipts". That should tell you how much trouble you'd be in.

"Around £50,000 in receipts". That should tell you how much trouble you'd be in.
LPG kit, fitted £2,000
Brake kit, fitted £2,300
Handling Pack, fitted £500
Rear end Pack, fitted £310
Perfomance exhaust, fitted £1,300
Performance Pack, fitted £3,800
LS7 Clutch, fitted £1,000
Tyres £220 each, rears every 5k if driven hard, so potentially £15,000
Servicing £3,500
Discs and pads all round £1,350 each time, say done three times, £4,050

Say a conservative estimate of £33,760 for the above work over 110,000 miles... not accounting for any other extras fitted/repairs/work done... I skim read the highlights...

I have been looking and I only posted that one because I love that colour but yes there are others with brakes already done yes I thought it was too much for that car as Elite cars has better ones for the same and he is much like robber budgen  they will be almost perfect.

Encountered a vxr8 on the way home today. Black, auto, new exhaust, and possibly a new cam that gives that really sharp tick over, rather than the comparatively lazy chug as standard. And, by Jove, don't they shift. More than twice a 3.2's horse power. Imagine that. Poop pooooooop. ;D

Saw a new R8  on the road yesterday... Only thing that made it stand out was the fact that it was bright orange :-\

The Monaro has more presence in the way only a big coupe can 8)

When I checked a few weeks ago, it was reasonable.

Check for underseal.

Monaro's don't have enough for UK roads, if it hasn't been done get it checked and then get it done.

Ah yes, your mate with the gm suhoohoohoopercharger charger. I take it you've been driven? ;D

Robs monaro was quick even before the work. To the point that I was thinking I really wouldn't want to go any quicker, it was almost painful, more of a time machine, one second your at point A, the next your at point B, like you've blinked and missed 10 seconds of your life. ....But then it can be a very uncomfortable experience if your not in control. I dread to think how quick Robs is now with forged pistons etc.  Good lord ;D
