Hi, I have had my Omega 51 2.2 TDI for a month now, lovely car and ran like a dream, last week or so it has been getting difficult to start, and a gust of grey/white smoke when it finally did.
Today I reversed the car out of the drive, then it stalled when I started to go forward. Cannot start it again. It sounds like it is trying to turn over, but it doesn't catch if you get my meaning. My brother says it sounds like it is out of fuel ( but we filled it already).
When you turn the ignition both the speedo and the rev dial bounce from the 0 mark.
Is it the Crank Sensor do you think (want clarification before I buy a new sensor for my brother to fit)
Thanks

Normally leak off pipes cause bad starting,if crank sensor goes you will lose rev counter

For buying bits, its not a TDI, its a DTI

Leak off pipes first, then injector top seal. When you do the job fit a fuel bulb into the system (mine is on outlet side of filter) not a lot of room on inlet to filter. The fuel line is 12mm O/D with a 10mm bore. :y
