Seems that Joan Rivers is in a coma following cardiac arrest during surgery. I've seen her perform and met her, a great woman, completely outrageous and somewhat non-pc. I just hope she recovers and sticks around for a few more years, however smoking doesn't exactly help :-\ I met her after a show in London, and her minders kept her well supplied with glasses of red wine :y

She is quite a character. An outrageous American woman who has certainly made me laugh many a time.
Hope she gets well soon :y :y

I like the 'old broad'. :y
She must be at least 300 years old by now. :y

Most of the young whippersnappers on this forum have probably never heard of her . . . . . but for others who are a "bit" older (Ahem . . . . no names, but living North of Watford) she will be young enough to be fancyable. I think she's early 80s ! :o

Does anyone remember the 'Derek and Clive' sketch about Joan Rivers? ??? Outrageous!!! :o ;D
Shows how long she's been around and I hope she gets better! :y

Actually no, but there was one sketch involving various ladies M Monroe and J Mansfield and others, involving lobsters and their worst job. I wonder if they substituted Joan Rivers at one stage ? Or maybe something different that I just don't know about. ???

Last night I watched An Audience with Joan Rivers on TV, you know the kind of thing, in front of an invited celebrity audience.
I got kinda cross. Joan was great, on top form with her acid and not very PC wit. But there were many in the audience who you know would normally be bleating about offending somebody, or saying that something was something-ist. And yet they were laughing - while uncomfortably looking around to see who was watching them or if the camera was on them. Hypocrites.
If some unknown comedian had come on and said the same things they would say that it was "offensive" but because it was Joan Rivers, an invited celeb audience, and on telly . . . . . . .
