In the middle of replacing oil cooler got a bit off a question on draining coolant its a nice clear pink colour no sign of oil contamination only sign being thin film in header/expansion tank (original reason for changing O/C) now questioning myself if it is leaky oil cooler as on removal of what looks like the original alloy cooler couldn,t see or find any sign of corrosion/leak is there anywhere else apart from HG oil could get in header tank in small quantities.Also what,s the regarded failure sequence of oil cooler do they let go big time all at once or is it just a gradual process .Bit baffled here ? :-\ :-\

If it was OC fail sounds like you may have caught it early, HG Fail is normally confirmed with Water in the Oil.
I had 3 OC repairs now, all 2.6 or 3.2, and it made a right mess of the coolant, and flushing proved a real pita. The Cooler tends to give up on the upper part of the Cooler, normally the first or second weld from the top plate, sometimes a hairline give away or signs of minor rusting along the weld..
