Hmm, dunno, Diesel exhaust usually point down so that lovely black smoke cloud is aimed at the road. Certainly both of our old 2.2 DTi's had that setup (in fact I really don't think there's much difference between the old 2.5TD and 2.2DTi exhausts looking on Ebay)

Don't forget that Eurodisney got the full fat BMW lump right upto production end :y
Tail pipe looks too big to be a petrol, and if fitted with a 3.0/3.2, as our plods were, it would have twin pipes...
