Ok maybe that's pushing it a bit... ;D
Im having a second house built in the Philippines and whilst we have some basic plans drawn the best we can,its not looking good.
Anyone clever with design software that could take a scanned floor plan and breath some life into it.
We have the size of the plot..but internal sizes are undecided as yet, just a case of making things fit if that makes sense. ;D
-
If the plot is a regular shape, and urban then build a boundary wall on the plot edges and arrange the rooms around the inside, leaving the centre of the street side clear as a gateway to the central courtyard.
This will allow you to park the car/s and have a private open plan living space :y
If it's rural, then a rectangular chalet in the centre of the plot with a porch/decking on all four sides :y
-
Ok ummm I didn't explain very well.
Basicly the wife's family own pretty much all the land in village she grew up in (Philippines) so its very Rural, and we have decided on the out line of the house,no need for boundary wall as were our neighbours (2nd house).
Its just I need a computer generated floor plan, similar to what the Estate agent would show you when looking for properties.
Wife has done a basic drawing on paper showing where she wants the bedrooms/bathroom etc...same for ground floor, just needs to be worked out to scale.
-
Build a Pub, I like Pubs, the more the merrier. ......Drink. :y
-
Ah, that will be tother end of the stick then ;D
Draw them out with a ruler on a piece of A3 paper. For scale use 2cm for 1 meter, 1mm on paper would then equate to 5cm in reality.
If that isn't big enough, then use A1 paper and 5cm to a metre. This would mean 1mm on paper is 2cm in reality and would allow enough detail to route plumbing/wiring :y
Use a separate sheet for each floor but be sure to line them up exactly one sheet to the next, that way you can be sure that stairs and walls are in the same place...

Something like this any good? ???

Thanks guys appreciate the advice.
Zirk...yep we will have a small native pub built at some point as more and more tourists, the local home brew is quite nice.
Ross that would be superb....just need a basic layout design, the builders will then have alter it as they feel is needed.

:y On a serious note though, theres a few English Style Pubs (From the inside) in Thailand, once they get established and become known, there banged out most nights. ;)
PS, I mean Banged out in the English sense, not the Thai's.

My mate has a Filipina wife and he built a house in her home village in The Philippines for a holiday home, but her family, Uncle Tom Cobley and all moved in complete with mangy dogs and chickens! ;D
He's now bought a second plot of land and intends to build a second house, bigger and grander than the first for his holiday home. ::)

He should have known when you marry the woman her family comes as part of the package.
Only difference was my wife was financially better off than I was... ;D
