its how they're looked after really isnt it.

regular servicing and not giving the car death everywhere will help prolong the engines life :)

I seen a 2.0 in my local scrappy, that had been retired due to massive and I do mean massive rear end damage (the car sort of stopped  about a foot behind the drivers seat, everything was flat!) that had 398K on the clock.....

Not sure if it was the original engine, but wow!

wow that is big miles, slightly off topic was reading a recent auto express about the worlds highest mileage car.

Its still running and if i remember its a 1950s volvo in New York - just over 2,500,000 miles on it  :o
