Title: corsa d heater blower

Can anyone help please,my daughters 2007 corsa's interior heater fan has stopped working completely.I've read on various sites that its the resistor which has had it(common) but i can't seem to find a useful guide anywhere, if any one has any help it would be great thankyou

Thanks Hoody thats a great help,only problem being is it the resistor? some people are saying the fan would still work on 4 ,where mine doesn't function at all......hoping its not the motor :-[ :-[

Bypass the resistor and connect 12v directly to the blower - if it spins up its a duff resistor, if not its probably the motor ;)

If it isn't working on four then 99% sure its the motor, quite a common problem but it is a Fiat after all.

thanksfor advice, my daughter took it to our local garage(reliable)today, they had a look and discovered the resistor had burnt out along with the loom to it and the blower is duff!

Oooo forgot to say they're charging £420 , questioned this and say advice is only use genuine motor,loom piece and resistor ,daughter goes away next w/e so gave the go ahead :'(

Wait until the heater cables over run and muck the heater flaps up. Thats a complete new heater box and the whole dash, crash bar, coloum have the be removed which is around two days solid work

you have to laugh at the use only genuine parts line they take,when you see the damage to the genuine original part.

i rang vauxhalls for a price and it came in at £535!! just crazy
