Title: a little trip to
Post by: vauxsull on 18 September 2014, 06:47:28
Nigel Langs in Bolton I think.... This car handles like a bar of soap and local tyre places are useless..  :-X

Just use your local ATS and get them to do the tracking and put some part worns on the fronts.  :P

I have two new tyres on recently and had tracking done by local tyre place... Not happy with results but its been 3 weeks since I was done... Ive heard Nigel Langs knows the correct set up for the Miggy and is rated on here..

£99 rings a bell but that was a few years ago, plus I had to get new wishbones supplied and fitted whilst there which cost £199  :o It did drive like a dream afterwards though

If they do not understand Omegas, that will be a complete waste of money. The problem is the original GM spec was poorly defined, and add in 10-15yrs of wear, and its **GUARANTEED** to chew the inside edges of the fronts in 5k if the muppet operating the machine just goes for the middle of "green".

Hence, needs to be done by somebody who knows what they are doing, which roughly means Wheels-InMotion for down my way (mention OOF at time of booking for discount), Nigel Langs for NW, or possible Fleet in Loughborough for the East Midlands mob.

Fleet at Loughborough isn't too faraway from me, is there a Web link please?
I have to say I have used the garage before, albeit a fwd motor but the car was awesome and didn't chew tyres, they deal with alot of different motors tbh. :)

The Omega seems esp sensitive to crap setups, not helped by the poorly defined settings.

Marks DTM may have details of Fleet, as I think he's used them in the past
