Original Wishbones were made by Lemforder for Opel. You can buy the Lemforder wishbones from AllGermanParts, they are still a good product but Lemforder's quality has slipped a little from the days they supplied Opel.

I have Lemforders on both of mine with Polyflex front bushes fitted which is a good solution in my opinion, As above Al seems to have located a decent supplier from Germany, any other supplier is luck of the draw and more often cheap tat than good quality.

After appalling life from the last set of Lemforder wishbones I fitted,  Ive ordered the Meyle from Allgerman today.
Ive a set of polybushes in stock which will get fitted before they go on, and will see how they go.

no, my time is yet to come. first problem is to get it running again, had to tow it home from school yesterday after it died (obviously it didn't like school ) after meeting the granddaughter. had stopped and started several times without incident until then. new fuel pump relay coming tomorrow which will hopefully solve the problem.

Can also confirm that the ATP items are good value for money, all three of my cars have had the kits fitted in the last few months and perform well :y

I had Lemforder ones fitted few months ago and full 4 wheel geo set up and 4 new tyres and no complaints.  :y

Performs like new, better I would say as convinced VX never got the geo set up right !  Goes like on rails now  :y

I can confirm that ATP wishbones are good value. All my six Omegas are now running on them. Daughter has just brought her 2.5 home for MOT. I see I fitted 2 ATP wishbones to it four years (25000 miles) ago, and they are still good. I bought a new set last week using Al's German e-bay reference, the set cost me 90 euros, inc. carriage.

The combined single listing has been as low as £80, and prices are usually a touch lower on the ebay.de site :y

As ever, it pays to have a rummage :y I wouldn't buy budget wishbones from anywhere else though...

Not even for a 90p saving ;D

They have consistently lasted 20 times longer than the last pair of Delphi ones I bought :y

Haha, no, very true. That 90p saving I quoted does come from their own listings, by the way, that wasn't from Halfrauds or similar.

I'll hunt around for a cheaper combined amount. At my local Unipart I'm sure wishbones had gone up to about £60 a side, or similar (and they last 1-2 years  :( )

Uni part ones are as shocking as Delphi if the owner of the car I had on my drive has remembered the name if his supplier correctly.

Yeah... I'm not having them on the V6... the fact that you pay what is a fair whack for a geometry set up (and it's worth it and not knocking the guys that do it, its a fine art when done well) and in a year you've got rubbery, spongy suspension that's already wearing and not 'tight' like it was. I can confirm from 1 week being in a PFL on Unipart...everything, to a FL which was at the time probably still on original VX items all round, the tightness and solidity was like going from a Citroen to a Volvo.

On a 2.2 I would be looking more towards cam sensor, I don't recall fuel pump relays causing any issues on Omegas.  :y

thank you sir for your words of wisdom, relay changed to no avail. current symptoms are cranks but not firing but every now and again it almost tries to start, but then reverts to cranking only until you have flatten the battery. I seem to remember having a problem with a fuel pump many years ago on a 2.0lr, can you advise whether it should whir/tick when the ignition is on ?
