Hello forum folks, I'm new here. I'm over here in texas I signed up because I have this Cadillac Catera with the opel omega 3.0 l v6 engine and I think it would be good to get the necessary repair advise from the folks that work on them all the time. I'm also on the Cadillac owners forum too but the owner ship of Catera is diminishing due to the problems with this car and age so with that the forum lacks the support to which I seek. I've come to this site numerous times as a guest and have found a lot of help with issues to my problems by reading and searching the general help forum. But now I need to ask some questions for the issue I'm having now concerning the 8 torx like looking bolts securing the flywheel to the crank. I'm in the process of replacing the rear main oil seal due to it leaking. So I have to transmission off and I placed a torx socket(T-16) on one of the bolts to loosen it but its just messing up the bolt and not budging. So before I really mess totally up I thought I'd give a shout out for some advise. :'(
