Title: Lakes meet stuff
Post by: Entwood on 23 June 2008, 12:48:24
Although I hope not to have any work needing doing at the Lakes meet, I'm guessing (hoping ?) it's more a "social" meet than a workshop, I know some folks are planning small jobs.

Is there anything folks want bringing that might help them ... I have

High range torque wrench
Low range torque wrench
Cam setting kit
ELM327 diagnostics - although if the Tech2 is there its a tad pointless !!

I don't see much point in taking axle-stands / trolley jacks etc as they tend not to work too well on grass, and I guess anyone planning complex work will have their own toolkits ??

If any expert in the black-art of "claying" is willing to give lessons .... what do I need to bring ?? assuming the weather is nice of course ..  :)

Other than that its wine/beer/scotch that dominates my list ....  :)

I've given Tunnie a load of general purpose tools to bring when he comes on Saturday - there is simply no more room left in my car, as Mrs TheBoy does like the kitchen sink with her  :-?

Well, my early start was ruined as I've spent most of the morning repacking it ;D

Trouble is, as we are going for longer, we are taking the wardrode, and storage cupboards as well.  Added to that the Bose shelf and Carin unit that wasn't there last year (and they take up a surprising amount of space...

Which doesn't help an Omega's case compared to a Senator. I found that stuff that would easily go in a Senator was a complete no go in a Omega's boot. The Bose cover is huge for what's in it.
