Title: Help on remote locking please

Guys, I need to change the batterie on the remote where the key is attached.
The spare is empty since weeks.
Is there a problem by just exchanging it ?
Is it straight forward or do I have to ask a lock smith to set it up again?
I know my volvo is a problem once the batterie is out or empty.
It's a 200 facelift omega cdx .

And another question, three some new modrpern key remotes on ebay where the key disapears
Like the bmw or Audi once.
Are the good and do they need coding?

Just replace the batteries ... careful you don't lose the transponder chip & resynchronise if needed  http://images.omegaowners.com/documents/UserGuides/OmegaOct2002.pdf page 53  :y
