Title: 2.2 tickover misfire - The Solution
Post by: SIR Philbutt on 20 October 2014, 18:47:44
Following on from this thread http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=126566.0 (http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=126566.0)

Had some fun and games the other day spaying brake cleaner in different places which made the tickover improve (or not), so definately a vac problem.

Fist place was around the connection of the servo pipe to the manifold. PTFE on that cured it ???, but not the problem  >:(

Main place was around the EGR, swopped the gasket AND the EGR - still not solved ???  >:(

After some head scratching decided it must the gasket between the EGR manifold and the back of head so proceeded to remove and sure enough it just fell out in bits.

Eventually found one at a Citroen Pentagon  :o and installed this afternoon

Purring like a kitten  :y :y :y :y

So one to add to all the other suggestions to be made next time someone has tickover problems  ::)

Thanks for the help OOF'ers
