I actually have some sympathy for him, TBH.
Local community centre had one of those vans as a minibus. ANYTHING is better than getting in it and driving it. ;)
We've got a ropey old LDV now, and it's a million times better.
This is the sort of thing people get away with when we have precious few traffic cops. >:( As long as he didn't do 33 MPH in a 30 limit. ::)

Given the police (and media) love prosecuting people who post videos of themselves speeding.. you'd think the police would be all over prosecuting someone for a (clearly) dangerous and overweight load based on the video evidence, no?

The hard fact is that there are insufficient police resources to follow up on everything "illegal" shown on Youtube. The police, and CPS, have enough going on with live, more easily prosecuted cases of law infringement that really are of "public interest". We just need far more traffic and general police officers, and a CPS with greater resources that currently are being cut back still further!! >:(
