Title: Cambelt kit
Post by: Mr Gav on 22 October 2014, 20:37:07
I`m going to have to do the cambelt in the not too distant future so are there any recommendations on kits and is it recommended to do the water pump at the same time?

TIA

Gates, Contitech or genuine for the cambelt kit :y

As for WP, pop the aux belt off and give it the pulley a spin...

You're looking for play and roughness. Any of either and fit a new one :y whilst you're there check the aux belt and its tensioner pulley... again any play or roughness change the pulley and and cracks on the belt then replace that as well :y

Just done mine in the last month, went for Gates powergrip and did also change the water pump.

I`ve used Autovaux for a few years now, didn`t know they hired out tools though, just bought a locking kit from Missy MV6  ;)
I need a few things so I`ll e-mail Kieron for some prices.

BTW whereabouts in West Yorkshire are you?
