Perhaps someone wasn,t as good a driver as they thought they were. ::)
-
"It looked like a test drive gone wrong and they had clearly come around the roundabout to head towards Silverstone and applied too much power whilst trying to pull away from a silver Omega which was having none of it.

Maybe the oil leak from said silver Omega caused the road to be a little slippy in places ::) :D

Okay ...it was me. :'(
I'm used to 180 BHP but 500 italian stallions rather caught me by surprise. :)
Shit happens. :)

All that about your insurance company and theyve given you a Ferrari as a courtesy conservatory?

Another case of a racing car being used in a way that was wrong for a public road ::) ::) ::) :P

How! That incident is clear driver error. Nothing to do with the car.

Why am I looking at the photo and thinking that isn't the A43, and certainly not the BP roundabout (the only one between Brackley and Silverstone).
Besides, grip levels on that roundabout should be excellent, with several millimetres of Dunlop's best being laid regularly when the 'tards at BP "forget" to order fuel.

As suspected, not signs of bent lamp posts between the Buckingham Road roundabout and Towcester, including Silverstone (in between the 2).
So I think some poetic licence in the reporting...

Is it the old A43 towards Silverstone :)

My thoughts exactly, but that isn't the dual carriageway then ;)
