Title: Jack Bruce RIP
Post by: Lizzie_Zoom on 25 October 2014, 17:40:45
Yet another great rock star has died with Jack Bruce of The Cream, the first super group, aged just 71 :'( :'( :'( :'(

He played, and wrote songs, with Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker. He will be missed :'( :'( :'(

Getting very worried now with all these names from my past disappearing when I am only a few years behind them!! :o :o :o :o

Presumably you didn't spend the sixties, seventies and eighties consuming nothing but cocaine, heroin and bourbon ::) in which case you should see retirement :-*

R.I.P. Jack. Probably the best Bass guitarist of our time. Wife has just gone to dig out the Disraeli Gears album.  :'( Don't think Jack played on that, did he Lizzie??

Yes he did indeed. Sunshine of Your Love was a major track on this album at the time. That was Cream's first album in 1967 and us in school just raved about it. :-* :-* :y

Correction, I had forgotten for a minute: Fresh Cream was their first album, Disraeli Gears being their second!!  It was a case at the time though that the latter was really to the fore of pop music in 1967, and the earlier one of 1966 had, at that time. failed to catch my imagination! ::) ::) ::) ::)

Each to their own opinion I suppose . .  but doubt he would make the top 50

Might just have a "google" to check  . . . but  I for one would be shocked if he was there :-\

EDIT:  my sincere opologies to Mr. Bruce & his followers   . .  he is on one list at No.22    :-[ :-[ :-[
