I've driven one a few hundred miles, fairly uninspiring, but capable. Residule values aren't amazing. 0% finance is always appealing, but I would be tempted to go for something more interesting. What about a Disco 3 TDV6? Or do you want new, ex demo etc?

My brother had one as his last company car...

Capable but flimsy trim and mechanicals didn't sound too healthy after 40k :-\

The equivalent Chevrolet is the captiva. There are lots of problems with them. Have a look at the forum.

Would love a Disco3 but heard loads of horror stories about reliability, huge servicing costs, and then there's the £500 tax bill. Wanted sommat less than 2 years old ideally. What probs have they had STMO?

Many. For instance, one of the 2L diesels smashed it's gearbox and transfer box to smithereens last week, two months out of warranty.
