Visited this today at Gaydon, much better than I expected, certainly better than Beaulieu or the Haynes museums. Some fascinating cars there, and a bonus today was that there were a couple of guys from Jaguar who look after the Jaguar classic collections. It was fascinating chatting to them about the Jags they had there. :y

Well worth a visit

To think I nearly stopped there on the way back from Stoneleigh!
It used to be even better when a lot of the BL prototypes were on display. This demonstrated many of the missed opportunities that could have kept them as a proper manufacturer. Things like a small OHC engine designed in the seventies that should have powered the Metro. Rover SD1 estate and hatchback TR7 stood out. Or a Mini based mid-engined replacement for the Midget.
Instead of having a rational range, they pissed the money away on underdeveloped 'competing' ranges that were unsellable, like the Marina and Allegro.

Spent some days there, when it was a secret rover test facility. 8)

Test track still there. In fact, a few months ago, Mrs TB was thrashing an F Type around it, lucky bitch.
