Freds engine wasn't as bad as we 1st thought. so having taken the engine out and stripped the sump off to view the damage, we found that only the thrust bearings on the center mains cap was damaged.
So out with the Crank and off to the Engineering shop for testing
All journals were ok. STD in size, the crank was perfectly straight.
All journals are now polished and new ends and mains fitted.
I'll keep you updated on it's progress,

It is easy Debs, Just time consuming when waiting for parts to be delivered and work being carried out.
ie. crank testing and polishing,
The good thing is, I have a crankshaft specialist 5 mins from home so that cut time down. ;D ;D
