My local newspaper website has always been a pain in the arse to read due to the pop up adverts / videos ect but over the last few months, its now become nearly impossible to use >:( >:(
Can anybody recommend any freebee 3rd party software which will block these piggin things before I blow a fuse
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate / Essentials / Peer Block 1.2 if that helps
TIA :)

Install firefox and then Adblock.. I use it and no more ads :y

Do the honourable thing, and stop using that site. Then hopefully the greedy bastards will come to their senses if enough people do it... ...and slowly the internet will be rid of ads

Occasionally, I end up sitting in front of a browser without it and realise what the web is really like these days. :o

Yes on rubbish IE.
We even get ads on stupid cash point machines too. Does anyone bother reading them :-\

Is it a local world site by any chance? We have the same down here nigh on impossible to read without some ad popping up for a cimpletely usless product :-\
I swear they do it to actually get newspaper numbers up as sales are dwindling at 50p ago :)
