Hi,i have a Omega B MV6 3.0 that`s been stripped down for track use.All of the interior has been removed for building a rollcage.
The car has been running all the time while its been stripped.
Yesterday it suddenly wont start,it fires but stops again immediately.
Anyone have a clue?

Assuming it still has the dashboard, have you tried the paperclip test to check for codes :-\

If it fires, then ordinarily, that would point to an icv fault. Imo.

Have you touched anything vac-pipe related?
Mine did this, there was a gap between the EGR and the plenum (stud not tightened fully, causing a vac leak) this meant she wouldnt run at all, just start then die immediately.

Any chance of getting a code reader on it, else we could be chasing our tails here...

Likely to be duff MAF - disconnect it electrically and try it - if it runs you need a new MAF. Had exactly these symptoms on my old Elite - would fire up ok, but immediately stall as soon as accelerator touched. Happened about 10 miles from home - tried it with ICV disconnected - no joy, then MAF disconnected - fired and ran reasonably well. New MAF fitted - all ok.
HTH ;)

is the engine imobiliser system intact. removing the dash may have disabled the system.

make sure you have all the earth connections connected back up under the dash :y

Its a 94 mod,the engine has run for a long time after removing the dash.

Any fuel in it?
If it has run out, it will need at least 15 litres to restart it...
