Aye :y Does it need any lubrication ? I have thoroughly cleaned out all the dust with a fine brush :y
Also found 2 dash screws rolling around inside the panel ::)

Fan itself rarely fails, its the driver circuit that does. I've never lubricated any, as it will attract the dust, and seize

Maybe just a dusting of that antistatic dust repelling pledge mr sheen polish stuff? Appreciate they never did that in the factory, of course.

It lives , all back in with fresh panel lights :y Didnt find any money though :(

Mite be imagining things but since cleaning out all the dust from the sampling fan and housing ive not had any window steamed up since :)

I'd expect the system to work more accurately, ie not having to have it at extremes to get it to respond well, but not cure that particular problem.
