There will be someone along who will tell you more no doubt, but I have a red  3.2 MV6 which is an ex Met police DPG car,the colour code shows Morrocan red and the car was repainted soon after I got it in 2004 in a brighter version of it.That colour on Omegas is pretty rare now and the only other one I've seen was a few months ago at another members place but I'm not sure wether that car was going to be scrapped. My own car is in excellent fettle and is due to be repainted before Christmas, really just to keep it fresh and in the hope of the Omega may one day become a classic....but probably not in my life time ::) ::)
I don't have any pictures of it as my old lappy died and took very thing with it, but there are pictures kicking around on here of the High Wycombe meet if you're interested :y

PFL came in Rubens IIRC (or similar-ish shade). I think FL was only offered in dark colours, such as blue, black, charcoal, plus the obligatory silver, all metalic.

(Retail MV6, not the plod bastardised versions)

The 3.2 that Ken (Nitro) is referring to I have now, did have 2 of them 3.0 MV6 and 3.2 Special, both from So16 (DPG), sadly the MV6 got scrapped, the 3.2 (HKE) will be around earlier in the year.  ;)

Colour scheme as per photo below -

Strange why plod wheels are std PFL Softstars though on a FL model.

On reason I raised that point is when I bought my Elite 3.2 it had 16inch Softstars fitted although no history of being Plod with private owner from new

Nope. Cd spec alloys. Look a bit like softstars in the pic as the wheel is turning.

Both prety awfull imo, but each to their own :)

Yea, 16" CD's, another pic with it standing still, most pre 2000 plods had 15", Steels, post 2000/1 seem to come with the 16" CD Alloys.

With the Police Suspension set up both the 15 and 16's handle bang on, compared to 17" LP or upwards in my opinion.  ;)

A weeks hard graft would see that on the road, needs a new slam panel, bonnet and nearside wing, both headlights bumper gubbins, and near side inner wing straightening...

If you look closely, you can see that the nearside end of the slam panel support has torn away from the chassis rail. Looks alot worse than it actually is... hasn't even popped an airbag...

Shame it's being broken, but I guess the mileage prevents it from being a viable repair... requires about £300 of professional work... namely positioning/welding the new slam panel in place and painting it. The rest is easy diy work... possibly a grand in parts... new rad/condensor/slam panel/headlights, the rest readily available second hand :-\

Nah ;D most of that damage is from the bonnet folding, with an element of impact damage to the NS corner... gone into the back of a truck at an angle at a guess... "Oh shit, brake and a panic swerve flourish to finish"

Tricky to tell just from pics, but I would wager that the chassis rails are where they were when the left the factory :y

Insurers would have washed their hands of it at first glance...

Headlight assembly, £280 x2
Bonnet assembly, £350
Bumper cover, £300
NS wing, £250

That's over a grand for the cosmetic stuff, let alone anothe £300 for the slam panel, plus paint, labour etc. I would be surprised if they had actually even bothered to look at it :-\

I would have thought most of the kit bolted under bonnet to nearside inner wing would be foooked as well :-\

Ah, you mean the battery ;D

The relay box is probably ok, only located by two plastic rivets...
Ok I simplified the list, and all the silly little clips etc cost a relative fortune, but point is that car was perfectly repairable before the insurers got stuck in :-\

Of course, Al, you are assuming this car was in motion when the damage was done.  It may have been parked, and something hit it, hence no deployment of the 'Bags.

Just throwing that out there.

Looks more like someone has done a 'Starsky and Hutch'...... :-\ no pics of engine, but being a 2.2 a cheap replacement is possible, still think it seems OK for the price, I mean Sub £1k with MOT till next summer is not bad, car looks tidy.............. ;) ;)

With a not entirely accurate listing...

Error messages return after 20 minutes or so in my experience.
The headlights might be correctly positioned at rest, but will be well out when driven as the system is disabled.
Disappointing that an OOF car hasn't had the defective sensor changed, given the simplicity of the task :-\
